LifeRacer.ch declines all liability in the event of a change in legislation or in the event of penalties or fines addressed to customers by the authorities. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to keep up to date with applicable laws and restrictions related to the use of the product.

The installation of a remote control to be able to activate/deactivate the 20 km/h speed limit does not make the electric scooter street legal in Switzerland. This installation is only carried out at the request of the customer. Markac & Partners GmbH (LiferRacer.ch) cannot be prosecuted or held liable in the event of a fine, accident, vehicle impoundment or other financial or legal consequences.

If the customer orders a limited e-scooter (22 km/h) that is street approval and a speed limiter, we will contact the customer to confirm the installation. For all orders where the customer orders an unlimited e-scooter and the speed limiter is also in the shopping cart, it will be installed automatically. We will probably invoice the costumer for installation fee.

Please note: Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component.
Because of such risks, we do not accept returns on any electronic components.

This may seem unfair to some customers, but it protects the next customer who might get a bad part that had been returned.

You agree with Terms and Conditions by accessing the Site liferacer.local, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. The manufacturer’s warranty for the battery is 6 months or 2000 km. In the event of a significant and permanent anomaly, LifeRacer.ch will repair or replace the components and/or the heart of the battery. provided the battery has been used under all warranty conditions and without the battery being modified.

There is no guarantee for damage caused by the battery or an external network of the charging system. There is no guarantee against corrosion or damage caused by contact with water or moisture. It should be noted that heavy rain may be responsible for the failure of your product’s electrical system components.

Main causes of premature battery performance degradation:

Weight overload on electric scooter, bicycle or unicycle. Each electric vehicle model has a maximum payload that must not be exceeded. This loading weight is determined by the manufacturer and is listed in the user manual or in the product specification. Do not hesitate to contact us if you weigh more than 75 kg and have any doubts about the loading weight of a product.

Driving in heavy rain leading to water ingress.
EVs are not submersible and the manufacturers have denied any claims related to water intrusion. It is therefore recommended not to drive in heavy rain.

Storing a battery pack for more than 2 months without charging/discharging.

The optimal storage of a lithium battery is in a dry place. It is recommended to charge the battery to about 50%. After that, the battery should be recharged for half an hour every month to activate the cells.

Initial acceleration with the gas without pushing.
In order to help the electric scooter or electric bicycle to start, it is advisable to give the vehicle a nudge with the gas before accelerating.

Poor maintenance, tires under-inflated, poor balance between transmission and braking system. It is essential to regularly check the tire pressure, the tightness of the bolts and the lubrication (grease) of the mechanical elements exposed to strong vibrations.

High humidity, too low (<5 °C) or too high (> 45 °C) temperatures.
The environment in which you store and use your electric scooter or electric bicycle has a major impact on the life and range of your battery. Don’t be surprised by a reduced range (up to -20%) in cold or hot weather.

How to safely charge your battery:

  • Please note that a lithium-ion battery is a powerful electrical component. It must always be charged under the constant supervision of an adult!
  • Place the charger on a non-flammable surface and away from flammable materials such as mattresses, carpets, curtains, etc. . .
  • If you notice a strange odor, strange noise, flashing charging bulb, smoke, or accidental contact with water, you must unplug the charger from the outlet or turn off the power immediately. Then place the product in an open space outside the building.
  • Do not expose the batteries to heat above 45 degrees. For example, you may not leave your product in a car that is parked in the sun.
  • An electric scooter that is corroded, water damaged, or exposed to wet conditions is considered dangerous and unfit for use.
  • Using a charger that is not sold with the product or is not suitable for your product can cause a fire!
  • In the event of a fire caused by the battery or AC adapter, use sand or a special fire extinguisher. Never use water!

Tips for an optimal charge:

  • It is strongly recommended to charge the battery after each prolonged use. It is not recommended to fully discharge the battery.
  • It is recommended to connect the charger to the socket first and only then to connect the electric scooter, electric bicycle or electric unicycle.
  • After use, it is recommended to wait 20 minutes before charging the battery. This gives the battery enough time to cool down before charging.

PLEASE NOTE:

Please note: Electrical/electronic parts are easily damaged by improper installation or testing. Because electronics are very sensitive to voltage overloads, it does not take much of a voltage spike to ruin a component.

Because of such risks, we do not accept returns on any electronic components. This may seem unfair to some customers, but it protects the next customer who might get a bad part that had been returned.
